Louis R. Andrews - Webmaster

Louis Andrews is a businessman and entrepreneur in Augusta, Georgia. He is married to Jill. They have two dogs and two cats. Louis takes Pomme, his beloved Pomeranian, to the office everyday. Louis and Jill moved here in 1982 from "the Holy City," Charleston, about 150 miles away and on the coast of South Carolina, where most of his family has lived for the last 200 plus years.

Louis' main business is L.. R. ANDREWS, INC., a real estate and mortgage investment company. The company buys mortgages in all fifty states and owns and manages real estate in three states. Louis has also been involved in the ownership of mobile home parks and retail businesses, in addition to earlier forays into direct mail advertising, government work, and political activism.

His current activities include membership in several professional organizations and involvement in the Rotary Club, both locally, as past president and director, and on the district level, as a trustee of the Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP). The GRSP provides full scholarships and living expenses for approximately 75-80 foreign students to attend Georgia colleges each year. Louis is both a Paul Harris and Will Watt Fellow in Rotary.

Louis' current hobbies include cooking, eating, genealogy, travel, programming, debate on Compuserve, and lots of reading. Former hobbies include sailing, boat building, astronomy, telescope making, hunting, fishing, skiing, and working.

His intellectual interests are primarily in the social sciences, political theory, and science. His educational background (seven years at three colleges/universities) is in liberal arts, with an emphasis on history and science.
