Library Manager is an inexpensive Windows95 program that allows easy organization and cataloging of titles of any type. Designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind, it accepts unlimited multiple authors and will retrieve a list of all books that any specified author has been associated with. The program allows unlimited keywords or subjects such as Mystery, Police, Romance, Memes, Darwinism, Public Opinion, Creole cooking, Tofu, etc., (up to 20 characters each) and will likewise retrieve a list of all titles for which you have entered any particular keyword or subject. Exhibit 1 shows the primary Title Browse window.

All locators are incremental and work with visible lists as in the title list shown in Exhibit 1. As a result it is usually only necessary to enter the first few characters of any title in order to locate the title you wish. This works exactly the same with authors or subjects.
If you want to enter them, you can also locate any title by ISBN number or library code as shown in Exhibit 2.

You can also locate all titles in any specific location and the list of locations is definable by you. In addition, there is a secondary location code that allows you to further define the location of each title, such as stack or shelf code.
Besides the general information already discussed, the program allows for 500 characters of text to be entered about any specific author and up to 2,000 characters of text to be entered on any particular title. However, the only information necessary about a title is the title, so you can enter only the information that may be needed.
Who might use the program? Library Manager is designed with enough versatility to be extremely useful for personal libraries, used bookstores, small lending libraries, genealogical libraries, and similar needs.
